FUTUREWEAR BY NAPAPIJRI & THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME BY SABRINA NOTTURNO
What do Napapijri’s Futurewear capsule and Sabrina Notturno’s works of art on display at Spazio Lazzari have in common? The relationship between human beings and Nature.
Futurewear by Napapijri
Cruelty free jackets, 100% recyclable jackets, intelligent bodymapping, sustainable production… The “Futurewear by Napapijri” collection translates the synergy between design, sustainability and innovation into casual, high-end and cutting-edge clothing items. The new generation winter jackets designed by Napapijri, for example, maximize lightness and warmth thanks to Thermo-Fiber insulation technology. The knitwear stands out above all for a digital process that uses a single solution-dyed yarn, reducing waste of raw materials, water and chemical dyes. Furthermore, “Infinity” is an outerwear made of ECONYL® regenerated nylon, a high-performance yarn, recycled from abandoned fishing nets and other waste materials. In turn, Infinity is entirely 100% recyclable.
Sabrina Notturno and the relationship between human beings and Nature
In Notturno’s works, human beings and Nature, the artist and her visions, coincide. The human presences placed in the natural landscapes introduce profound reflections on our presence here, on Planet Earth. The works created for the Spazio Lazzari, in particular in the surprising, enormous carpet at the entrance, suggest an ethical-political question: what do we want to do with this Planet? What will be the form and substance of what will remain after us?
Born in Treviso, Sabrina Notturno attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in Emilio Vedova’s classroom. She has exhibited at the Villa Pisani National Museum in Strà, at the Centro Carlo Scarpa State Archives in Treviso, at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Padua, and at the Dino Formaggio Museum of Contemporary Art in Teolo. She lives and works in Treviso and Casier.
