All’alba della genesi – Sonia Ros + Angelo Brugnera Exhibition, Treviso 2012

This art exhibition “All’Alba della genesi” displays the work of two Italian artists who are different in terms of chosen language (sculpture/painting) and poetics but similar in their formal results.

Sonia Ros

Sonia Ros’ works represent shapes floating in space without the force of gravity. It uses the same range of colors – shades of gray – with some incursions of other colors. What he paints is something microscopic: an embryo, a DNA molecule, neutrinos, etc. These subjects become the protagonists of surreal tales steeped in the unknown.
Sonia Ros was born in Conegliano in 1966. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, studying with Maurizio Marelli, Luca Bendini, Carlo Maschietto. He lives and works between Venice and Vittorio Veneto.

Angelo Brugnera

Angelo Brugnera’s sculptures crystallize the lightness of a movement, an instant, a void, the shape of a wave, a breath of wind, a drop of rain that spreads. In his works the solids of polished marble alternate with voids. The immaterial takes shape in marble, articulated and complex.

Angelo Brugnera was born in Sacile (PN) in 1966. In the 1980s he began to approach the world of sculpture in his father’s workshop. In the nineties he came into contact with the Friulian art scene. He lives and works in his hometown.
