ARCHETIPO
Giovanbattista Cilluffo + Sergio Marchioro

Archetipo Exhibition, Spazio Lazzari, 2023, Treviso

The Archetipo exhibition parallels the canvases of Giovanbattista Cilluffo and the metal installations of Sergio Marchioro. Tthe Archetipo exhibition invites everyone to interpret these works of art as keys to understanding the complex, layered, sometimes playful reality that surrounds us.

Cilluffo’s contemporary primitivism blends different media and interesting cultural contaminations. The figurative elements engraved through the graffito technique emerge from deeply stratified chromatic surfaces. They almost seem like icons that can be placed at the crossroads between archaic and contemporary iconography.

In the external spaces of the Archetipo exhibition, Marchioro’s installations stand out in the surrounding space with such lightness that they seem to defy the force of gravity and the weight of the material they are made of. The metal plates that compose them vibrate in the air, creating a harmonious play of colors and sounds. Beyond the obvious homage to the Surrealist movement, Sergio Marchioro’s kinetic structures interpret the typical fluidity of the contemporary world.
